The ACR122 series is a product family line that shares the same core but comes in different form factors as shown below, to cater different market needs. A family of PC-Linked reader / writer developed based on the 13.56 MHz Contactless (RFID) Technology, it supports ISO 14443 Type A and B, Mifare, FeliCa and 4 types of NFC tags - ISO/IEC 18092 compliant.

ACR122U NFC Contactless Smartcard Reader in white board casing is both PC/SC and CCID compliant thus making it a USB plug and play device! We have recently added a buzzer to enrich its user interaction.
ACR122T NFC Contactless Smartcard Reader is a USB token-sized contactless reader that provides portability and ease-of-use anytime and anywhere! It is also PC/SC and CCID compliant.
ACR122S Serial NFC Contactless Smartcard Reader is in blue palm casing that comes with bi-color LED and buzzer for a richer user interaction! It is in Serial RS232 interface and comes with a SAM slot that can support ISO 7816 T=0 compliant SAM cards for enhanced security.
ACR122L VisualVantage NFC Reader with LCD is in black casing with stand, that comes with 4 LEDs, buzzer and LCD display (2-line display with multi-language support) that provides the user a clear indication of the reader status and transactions! It is in Serial RS232 interface with CCID-like framework. We also have a USB version called ACR1222L VisualVantage NFC Reader with LCD. These are the perfect choice for contactless payment and loyalty system in retail POS environment.
On the other hand, we also have our Dual Interface Reader for applications that require both Contact and Contactless Smart Card Technology.
The ACR1281U-C1 Dual-Boost II Smart Card Reader can access contact memory cards, ISO 7816 compliant smart cards, and contactless card complying with the ISO 14443 standard, including ISO 14443 types A and B, Mifare Classics, Mifare Plus, and DESFire EV1.
It is PC/SC and CCID compliant with read and write speed of up to 848kbps!
It has a built in SAM slot for enhanced security and user controllable buzzer and LEDs for user interaction. ACR1281U–C1 is suitable for highly demanding applications, whether it is contact card, contactless card or hybrid card. It’ll be the reader of your choice!
